Description Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1, also known DDAH1, belongs to the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase gene family. The DDAH1 plays a role in nitric oxide generation by regulating cellular concentrations of methylarginines, which in turn inhibit nitric oxide synthase activity. Impairment of DDAH1 causes ADMA (asymmetric dimethylarginine) accumulation and a reduction in cGMP generation. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-285 of human DDAH1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
