| Description | A combination of three proteins: nitrated bovine superoxide dismutase (SOD) ~16kD, nitrated bovine serum albumin (BSA) ~66kD, and nitrated rabbit muscle myosin ~215kD. A dimer of SOD is occasionally observed at ~32kD. The proteins were nitrated using peroxynitrite. Protein Concentration: Nitrated-myosin ~10ug/ml; nitrated-BSA ~50ug/ml; nitrated-SOD ~10ug/ml. Total protein concentration: ~70ug/ml. Applications: Suitable for Western Blot. Recommended Dilution: Dilute 1:1 with Reducing Sample Buffer and boil for five minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ul of reduced control per lane for immunoblot analysis. This preparation may be used as a positive control for N2700-05 Mab and N2700-06 Pab Nitrotyrosine (nTyr) antibodies. Storage and Stability: For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
