Description CuEDC1 contains 1 CuE domain. The CuE domain is structurally related to the ubiquitin-binding uBA domain and has been reported to exist as a domain-swapped dimer that makes additional contacts with ubiquitin, and consequently, binds ubiquitin with higher affinity. The CuE domain is found in proteins with diverse functions including degradation of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum and protein sorting. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-386 from human CuEDC1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~44.6kD (409aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
