| Description | HDL is the vehicle for reversed cholesterol transport and estrification, serving as a scavenger for free cholesterol during intravascular catabolism of lipoproteins. HDL levels are inversely correlated with coronary heart disease. In a normal fasting individual, HDL concentrations range from 1-2g/L. Souce: Human Plasma. Prepared from fresh, non-frozen plasma shown to be non reactive for HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HBc, and negative for anti-HIV 1 & 2 by FDA approved tests. Molecular Weight: 175,000-350,000 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Protect from light. | ||
