| Description | Receptor-associated protein (RAP) functions as a specialized endoplasmic reticulum chaperone assisting in the folding and trafficking of members of the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor family. RAP efficiently binds to these receptors and antagonizes binding of other ligands. Recombinant Rat Receptor Associated Protein is a fused-Rat his:RAP:c-myc protein with a MW of 40kD (38862 Daltons) as determined by SDS gel electrophoresis. Dimers and Aggregates: ≤ 1% as determined by coomassie blue SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Endotoxin: ≤ 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Human Keratin. Reconstitution: Reconstitute the lyophilized recombinant RAP in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
