Description Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) are members of a large family of structurally related polypeptides that are potent physiological regulators of growth and differentiation for a wide variety of cells of mesodermal, ectodermal and endodermal origin. Four genes encoding for high affinity cell surface FGF receptors (FGFRs) have been identified: FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. FGFRs are members of the tyrosine kinase family of growth factor receptors. FGFR2 is highly expressed in developing human tissues including the brain, choroids plexus, lung etc. Source: Recombinant human FGFR2, aa399-end, with N-terminal GST tag, expressed in baculovirus infected Sf9 insect cells. Molecular Weight: 74kD Specific Activity: 521.4nmol/min/mg Reaction Buffer: 50mM HEPES (pH7.5), 10mM MgCl2, 1mM EDTA, 0.01% BRIJ- 35 and 200uM of ATP. Substrate: 2uM Tyr peptide 4 from Invitrogen. Application: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: The enzyme reactionwas carried out for 1h at room temperature in reaction buffer. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
