| Description | Two types of soluble TNF receptors (sTNFR-I and sTNFR-II) have been identified, which act to neutralize the biological activities of TNF alpha and TNF beta. Levels of these soluble receptors appear to arise as a result of shedding of the extracellular domains of the membrane bound receptors. Elevated levels of soluble TNF receptors have been found in the amniotic fluid of pregnant women. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa41-201 from human sTNFR-I, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
