| Description | T-cells play an important role in the immune system. There are two main types of T-cells, one with CD4 on the surface and one with CD8. CD4 carrying `helper' cells orchestrate the body's response to viruses. T-cells which have CD8 destroy cells that are infected and produce antiviral substances. This is of particular interest in HIV infection. HIV is able to attach itself to the CD4 molecule, allowing the virus to enter and infect these cells. Source: Recombinant from Baculovirus Applications: Suitable for use in RIA, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | ||
