| Description | LAIR-1 is a glycoprotein (~32kD) expressed on the surface of the majority of human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes including T cells, B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. LAIR-1 functions as an inhibitory receptor in NK cells, T cells and B cells. Inhibitory receptors control the immune response to prevent lysis of cells recognized as self. Lair1 consists of a leader sequence, extracellular domain, transmembrane domain, cytoplasmic region. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human LAIR-1, a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 105aa, expressed in E. coli. The extracellular domain of LAIR-1 (aa22-125) was overexpressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~11.5kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
