Description TREM2 is a membrane protein that forms a receptor signaling complex with the TYRO protein tyrosine kinase binding protein. The protein functions in immune response and maybe involved in chronic inflammation by triggering the production of constitutive inflammatory cytokines. Defects in this gene are acause of polycystic lipomembranous osteodysplasia with sclerosing leukoencephalopathy (PLOSL). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa19-161 from human TREM2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~20.4kD (181aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
