| Description | This is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance P. It is probably associated with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The rank order of affinity of this receptor to tachykinins is: substance P > substance K > neuromedin-K. Recombinant protein corresponding to MDNVLPVDSDLSPNISTNTSEPNQFVQPA aa1-29 from human TACR1, fused to GST-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~30.1kD AA Sequence: MDNVLPVDSDLSPNISTNTSEPNQFVQPA Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
