Description IL2RB, also known as interleukin 2 receptor subunit beta, is a member of the cytokine receptor superfamily. This protein, which is involved in T cell-mediated immune responses, is present in three forms with respect to ability to bind interleukin 2. It denoted IL2RA, IL2RB, and the common cytokine receptor gamma chain, which is shared by the receptors for IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, and IL-15. The low affinity form is a monomer of the alpha subunit (also called CD25) and is not involved in signal transduction. The intermediate affinity form consists of a gamma/beta subunit heterodimer, while the high affinity form consists of an alpha/beta/gamma subunit heterotrimer. Both the intermediate and high affinity forms of the receptor are involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis and transduction of mitogenic signals from interleukin 2. Description: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa27-240 of human IL2RB, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in Baculovirus Molecular Weight: ~25.5kD (220aa), ~28-40kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: <0.1EU/1ug (LAL) AA Sequence: AVNGTSQFTC FYNSRANISC VWSQDGALQD TSCQVHAWPD RRRWNQTCEL LPVSQASWAC NLILGAPDSQ KLTTVDIVTL RVLCREGVRW RVMAIQDFKP FENLRLMAPI SLQVVHVETH RCNISWEISQ ASHYFERHLE FEARTLSPGH TWEEAPLLTL KQKQEWICLE TLTPDTQYEF QVRVKPLQGE FTTWSPWSQP LAFRTKPAAL GKDTHHHHHH Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
