| Description | MSR1, also known as macrophage scavenger receptor types I and II, belongs to the class A macrophage scavenger receptors, which include three different types (1, 2, 3) generated by alternative splicing. These receptors or isoforms are macrophage-specific trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins and have been implicated in many macrophage-associated physiological and pathological processes including atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and host defense. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa77-451 from human MSR1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~43.7kD (398aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
