| Description | RPS19 belongs to the S19E family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. Mutations in this gene cause Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA), a constitutional erythroblastopenia characterized by absent or decreased erythroid precursors, in a subset of patients. This suggests a possible extra-ribosomal function for this gene in erythropoietic differentiation and proliferation, in addition to its ribosomal function. Higher expression levels of this gene in some primary colon carcinomas compared to matched normal colon tissues has been observed. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human RPS19, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~18.4kD (168aa) (MALDI-TOF) AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSMPGVTVK DVNQQEFVRA LAAFLKKSGK LKVPEWVDTV KLAKHKELAP YDENWFYTRA ASTARHLYLR GGAGVGSMTK IYGGRQRNGV MPSHFSRGSK SVARRVLQAL EGLKMVEKDQ DGGRKLTPQG QRDLDRIAGQ VAAANKKH Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
