| Description | 40S ribosomal protein S18, also known as RPS18, belongs to the ribosomal protein S13P family. Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. RPS18 is a known binding partner of Cofilin and has been suggested to be a novel substrate for CaMKII. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-152 from human RPS18, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~20.1kD (175aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
