| Description | E. coli CRISPR Knockout Teaching Kit allows students to gain hands-on laboratory experience utilizing CRISPR - a revolutionary gene-editing technique. In this robust experiment, the student performs a gene knockout of a genomically-encoded chloramphenicol-resistance cassette employing CRISPR and lambda red recombineering . This results in E. coli that is now sensitive to the antibiotic chloramphenicol a phenotype that can be easily screened for.
