Description Blocking Peptide for H1865-05A Hemopexin (HPX) Hemopexin (HPX) is a plasma protein that has the highest binding affinity for heme. HPX prevents heme-mediated oxidative stress and heme-bound iron loss by transporting heme to the liver for breakdown. Source: Synthetic peptide surrorounding aa436 of mouse Hemopexin. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1ug peptide/1ug antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C. Antibody Blocking: 1ug peptide/1ug antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
