| Description | Human D-dimer (DD), a specific degradation product of cross-linked fibrin, is released into the bloodstream during clot breakdown and is used as an indicator of a blood clots, venous thromboses or pulmonary embolisms. D-Dimer was produced by streptokinase lysis of coagulated fibrinogen and gel-filtered on Sephadex G-150. Immunological activity confirmed in commercial immunoassay. Source: Human plasma Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
