| Description | HPR, also known as Haptoglobin-related protein, is a primate-specific plasma protein associated with apolipoprotein L-I (apoL-I)-containing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles shown to be a part of the innate immune defense. HPR-bound hemoglobin might contribute to the biologic activity of the circulating apoL-I/Hpr-containing HDL particles. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa20-348 from human HPR protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~39.3kD (352aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
