| Description | Serum amyloid A (SAA) proteins comprise a family of apolipoproteins. These proteins play an important role in HDL metabolism and cholesterol homeostasis. Human SAA1 is a major acute phase protein that is highly expressed in response to inflammation and tissue injury. SAA is considered to be a biomarker for inflammation. Recombinant protein corresponding to human Serum Amyloid A, 122aa, 60: D→N; 71: H→R, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in Transformed E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~10-15kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
