| Description | Superoxide Dismutase has been isolated from media conditioned by a murine marrow-derived cell line (PB6) and from the conditioned medium of cultured mouse marrow cells. It antagonizes IL-3 dependent proliferation of cells in culture and reversibly inhibits DNA synthesis of erythroid progenitor cells. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human SOD1 expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~17kD Biological Activity: Measured by Pyrogallic Acid method and was found to be not less than 1x10e4IU/mg. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
