Description Thrombospondin (TSP) is a cellular adhesion protein isolated from human platelets that had been stimulated with thrombin. TSP is a component of the coagulation mechanism and is believed to have potential as a marker for platelet activation and renal failure. Found in multiple biological processes including angiogenesis, apoptosis, activation of TGF-b and immune regulation. Source: Thrombospondin, from human platelets. Molecular Weight: ~420kD Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with deionized dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
