Description Part of the tripartite complex that is required for the CDT activity. CdtB exhibits a DNA-nicking endonuclease activity, and very probably causes DNA damage in intoxicated cells. This damage induces G2/M cell cycle arrest, chromatin fragmentation, cell distention and nucleus enlargement. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa19-269 from E. coli cdtB, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal and Myc-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~47.86kD AA Sequence: DLTDFRVATWNLQGASATTESKWNINVRQLISGENAVDILAVQEAGSPPSTAVDTGTLIPSPGIPVRELIWNLSTNSRPQQVYIYFSAVDALGGRVNLALVSNRRADEVFVLSPVRQGGRPLLGIRIGNDAFFTAHAIAMRNNDAPALVEEVYNFFRDSRDPVHQALNWMILGDFNREPADLEMNLTVPVRRASEIISPAAATQTSQRTLDYAVAGNSVAFRPSPLQAGIVYGARRTQISSDHFPVGVSRR Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
