| Description | Cleaves A-5'-PPP-5'A to yield AMP and ADP. Possible tumor suppressor for specific tissues Alterations and deletions of the FHIT (Fragile Histidine Triad) gene are strongly linked to the genesis and establishment of human tumors of the lung, cervix, breast, colon, stomach, and pancreas. In normal cells, FHIT may act as a tumor suppressor. Recombinant FHIT shows a band at 43kD on SDS-PAGE commassie blue stained gel. Dimers and Aggregates: ≤ 1% as determined by coomassie blue SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Endotoxin: ≤ 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Human FHIT. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
