| Description | ERCC1, also known as DNA excision repair protein ERCC-1, functions in the nucleotide excision repair pathway, and is required for the repair of DNA lesions such as those induced by UV light or formed by electrophilic compounds including cisplatin. Defects in ERCC1 are the cause of cerebro-oculo-facio-skeletal syndrome type 4 (COFS4). Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-273 from human ERCC1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~32.5kD (297aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSHMDPGKD KEGVPQPSGP PARKKFVIPL DEDEVPPGVA KPLFRSTQSL PTVDTSAQAA PQTYAEYAIS QPLEGAGATC PTGSEPLAGE TPNQALKPGA KSNSIIVSPR QRGNPVLKFV RNVPWEFGDV IPDYVLGQST CALFLSLRYH NLHPDYIHGR LQSLGKNFAL RVLLVQVDVK DPQQALKELA KMCILADCTL ILAWSPEEAG RYLETYKAYE QKPADLLMEK LEQDFVSRSL EQLIAASRED LALCPGLGPQ KARRLFDVLH EPFLKVP Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
