Description N-myc-interactor, also known as NMI, is a member of the oncogene Myc family. The Myc family of oncogenes is thought to play an important role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and neoplastic transformation. The NMI protein also interacts with all STATs except STAT2 and augments STAT-mediated transcription in response to cytokines IL2 and IFN-gamma. The NMI mRNA has low expression levels in all human fetal and adult tissues tested except brain and has high expression in cancer cell line-myeloid leukemias. Recombinant human NMI protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminal domain, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-307 from human NMI, fused to His-tag at N-terminal domain, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~37.2kD (MALDI-TOF) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
