| Description | IRF4 is a transcriptional activator, belonging to the IRF family. It binds to the interferon-stimulated response element (ISRE) of the MHC Class I promoter (but is not induced by Interferons). IRF4 binds the immunoglobulin lambda light chain enhancer, together with Pu.1. It most likely plays a role in ISRE-targeted signal transduction mechanisms specific to lymphoid cells. IRF4/MUM1 is expressed in the nuclei and cytoplasm of plasma cells and a small percentage of germinal center (GC) B cells mainly located in the "light zone". Its morphologic spectrum ranged from that of centrocyte to that of a plasmablast/plasma cell, and it displayed a phenotype (MUM1+/Bcl-6/Ki67 ) different from that of most GC B cells (MUM1/Bcl-6+/Ki67+) and mantle B cells (MUM1/Bcl-6 /Ki67). IRF4 is antibody reactive. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa144-451 from human IRF4, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Inhibiton Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | ||
