Description			NELFE is a part of complex termed negative elongation factor (NELF) which represses RNA polymerase II transcript elongation. This protein bears similarity to nuclear RNA-binding proteins; however, it has not been demonstrated that this protein binds RNA. It contains a tract of alternating basic and acidic residues, largely arginine (R) and aspartic acid (D). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-380 from human NELFE, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~45.6kD (403aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
