| Description | USF1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper family, and can function as a cellular transcription factor. uSF1 can activate transcription through pyrimidine-rich initiator (Inr) elements and E-box motifs. This gene has been linked to familial combined hyperlipidemia (FCHL). Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been defined on chromosome 21. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-310 from human uSF1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~35.9kD (333aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
