Description			TAF9, also known as TATA box binding protein (TBP)-associated factor, is a general transcription factor that facilitates the preinitiation complex assembly through direct interactions with the TATA promoter element. It is a multisubunit complex consisting of a small TATA-binding polypeptide and other TBP-associated factors (TAFs). It acts as a channel for regulatory signals. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-172 of human TAF9, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.
