Description			Homeobox protein NANOGP8, also known as NANOGP8, is a member of the homeobox family of DNA binding transcription factors that has been shown to maintain pluripotency of embryonic stem cells. Almost identical to NANOG, there is only one change in the inferred amino acid sequence from 'Gln-253' in NANOG to His- 253 in NANOGP8.
