| Description | ZFAND5 is involved in protein degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system. This protein may act by anchoring ubiquitinated proteins to the proteasome and plays a role in ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation during muscle atrophy. ZFAND5 plays a role in the regulation of NF-kappa-B activation and apoptosis and inhibits NF-kappa-B activation triggered by overexpression of RIPK1 and TRAF6 but not of RELA. It inhibits also tumor necrosis factor (TNF), IL-1 and TLR4-induced NF-kappa-B activation in a dose-dependent manner. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-213 from human ZFAND5, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~25.5kD (236aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
