Description			The BRCA1 protein is a tumor suppressor and is directly involved in DNA repair. Mutations in the BRCA1 gene have been implicated in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-1863 of human BRCA1, fused to polyhistidine-tag at N-terminal, expressed in Baculovirus. Molecular Weight: ~205kD Applications: Suitable for use in in vitro function studies including transcription and DNA repair, for protein-protein interaction assays and cell growth assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
